Don't die of shock.  Carie is still dedicated to the Chinook breed and is busy sending the pups of the 2006 Moonsong Football Litter off to their new homes.  But she's added a new member to the family in the body of Khyer, a Saluki pup.    Photos and more info to come.  It's been a longtime dream of Carie's to have a Saluki and get involved with AKC conformation and lure coursing.  Stay tuned for details.

Ch. PR Moonsong Onondaga Lawman, also known as Marshall, finished the year as the #3 ranked Chinook in the country.  You can see the final UKC Top Ten Standings by going to www.UKCdogs.com/ConformationTopTen.htm, then scroll down to the Chinook rankings.  Marshall earned this honor by defeating 48 other Chinooks in his Best of Breed wins throughout the calendar year of 2006. Each time he was awarded Best of Breed, he also earned points equal to the number of dogs he defeated. For example, if Marshall was one of ten Chinooks competing that day, he would earn nine points if he won Best of Breed.

Marshall is from the Moonsong 2005 Premier Litter sired by Ch. Cloudburst Wonalancet (aka "Legend") and out of Grand Ch. PR Hurricane Katsuk Rain Song.  Katsuk herself was #6 for 2005 despite taking the second half of the year off to raise her litter of ten. Marshall, who was just barely old enough to compete at the beginning of 2006, received both his registered and call names in honor of Carie's father, a police officier in upstate New York.  Marshall lives full time in Kent, Washington, where he's a family pet, sharing the couch with Moonsong Pharaoh of Telesis, and joining Carie for shows and sledding adventures. Like all members of both the immediate and extended Moonsong pack, he's an enthusiastic puller in harness.
