Pam Chambers spent many years raising and showing poodles before
getting preoccupied raising a family. But in 1997 she discovered
Chinooks and is now back into the dog world in a big way. Located in
Seattle, Washington, Spring Creek Chinooks had it's first litter
in 2001 and is expecting its second litter in September of 2004.
Though there are not many Springcreek Chinooks out there, they are
making quite a name for themselves. Mocha is the highest ranked
Chinook in UKC Weight Pull All Stars. Bella and her cart of
Chambers grandkids have their photogrpah displayed at the Skagit Valley
Tulip farms. Ch. PR Springcreek Irish Outlaw swept the UKC
Premier in 2004 earning two Best of Winners awards.
Springcreek Chinooks has become an integral member of our Chinooks
Northwest group. Pam, her husband Mike, son Sean and daughter-in-law
Darcy, and the many Chambers grandchildren are frequent participants in
all our Northwest events. Carting with Kolby and Bella, weight
pulling with Mocha, and sledding with the whole family are favorite
sports.

Pam was sure she wanted a purebred Chinook but she couldn't resist just going to look at an accidental litter of Chinook - German Shepherd cross pups. They saw her coming a mile away and the biggest of these pups (his baby name was HumVee!) went home with her. Pam was hooked.
Kolby has turned into a wonderful dog. He is the strength of the Springcreek sled and rig team and has endless patience with the pups that have joined the household since his arrival. He's a great obedience dog too. In addition, he's in charge of helping Pam with her grandchildren.
After Kolby got the Chambers family hooked on Chinooks, it wasn't long until the "princess" arrived. Pam and Connie Jones (WoodsRunner Chinooks) met on one of Connie's visits to Seattle and soon a small ball of fluff joined the family. Brandy quickly became the favorite of Pam's husband Mike and is frequently found cuddling with him. In his eyes, Brandy can do no wrong.
Brandy was bred to Gr. Ch. PR Rain Mountain Tonasket Thunder and presented Pam with two daughters in February of 2001. Brandy was an excellent mom and her daughter Mocha is now a member of the Chambers family too.
Brandy has two majors towards her UKC championship and we hope she will finish during the 2004 show season. She is also an excellent sled dog and delights Pam's grandchildren by pulling them in their red wagon around the neighborhood. Brandy has an excellent head and has passed this on to her daughters Mocha and Bailey.

Mocha finished her championship with a
Best
of Breed, Reserve Best in Show, and ended up in the 2002 Top Ten all in
one
weekend, though only 14 months old.

Mocha is everything we wanted from the breeding of Brandy and Thunder.
She has the beautiful head of both her parents, a wonderful gait, and a
graceful, natural stack that tells the world that she's hot stuff --
just ask her.
Mocha, for all her spirit, is still Pam's baby. When Pam had to spend five months in a wheel chair following foot surgery, Mocha planted herself on Pam's lap and sees no reason to move even though Pam is back on her own feet.
Mocha took to sledding like a, well, like a natural sled dog. There
was no training
necessary. Put her in harness, hook her to a sled, and she goes. She
has no fear of digging in to pull a heavy load and found her niche as a
highly competitive weight puller She earned her UWP title quickly
and is ranked in UKC's Weight Pull All Stars. Mocha knocked the socks
off the judges
during her first few shows and promptly earned three majors towards her
UKC championship. After time out for pups, Mocha will continue to work
on weight pulling, sledding, and hopefully her UKC Grand Championship.
